Pepper developed a fever and was off her feed about ten days after we got back from training with Merrie. The vet came and took care of her and left me with some Banamine Paste. She got better gradually, and I gave her a week off. Then she developed a lameness that appears to be an abscess, in a foot that I pulled a big rock out of. Now I'm soaking her foot in Epsom salts and warm water every day.
