Yesterday, some very good friends modeled some sweatshirts for me. We found some good backgrounds at the stable, considering that California is mostly dry and brown right now.

These are all available on

The Birthday Boy went on a shopping spree yesterday with his birthday money and gift cards. He bought one "Pre-owned" XBox game and lots of clothes. He was euphoric! I dropped him off and a bunch of friends met him there. Such a normal teen experience!

The Carrot Fairy

If the Carrot Fairy came to your horse, what would she look like?

"She carries kale"

"Sadly... I am the carrot fairy according to Fiona Bun"

I think my ponies think I AM a big walking carrot LOL"

"she'd look like another horse, with hands"

"She would look like a flying unicorn with a carrot for a horn and greens for wings. My dog Spot wishes there was a carrot fairy....carrots are his favorite treats!"

"It would be a ginormous carrot, with a bunny rabbit face and tail with wings. Of course it would have a magic carrot wand for granting carrot wishes to all the earthling kids and bunnies in the world."

"Darn, I don't have a horse."

She's in here somewhere.

Blue Towel

We have worked with this blue towel. It is very scary. We have more work to do, practicing getting scared with nothing bad happening.

A bit of work

Here we are, doing a little bit of stuff in the back outdoor arena. I was going to do some long lining, but someone in the adjacent round pen was working vigorously with a Parelli Carrot Stick and it put Yndi on edge.

If you feel that something is likely to end in disaster, if is sometimes better not to begin I am learning from Amber that taking them to a level of beginning discomfort and bringing them back, taking them there again can teach them that edgy things can happen and they will live. It teaches them how to be brought back.

Yesterday, she worked in a round pen near someone cracking a longe whip. She is making good progress toward figuring out that not all whips are meant for her and can be safely ignored.

Work, for Yndi, is more emotionally taxing than physically hard.

I am editing my etsy shop. I am getting a lot more views even before I am done, but it takes a LONG time!

A boring and tedious job. I like making the stuff more than marketing the stuff.

At The Ranch with Yndi and Joy

You have a stain on your shirt.

 That is from hugging you.

 See! Now you are cleaner.

 Can I hug Yndi?

I want a big stain on my shirt.

You Can't Be That Hungry
Ground driving Yndi up the lane, one of the lines was dragging. When it persisted, I looked back; a squirrel had the end clenched in his teeth. He lost his grip, then ran to catch up and grabbed it again.

 Bad Timing
This morning, Lydia went out right after breakfast, as usual. She was pooping in the grass when the automatic sprinklers came on. Poor girl, she was pooping and walking, pooping an walking.

 Not Really Shunning
Now that the weather is good enough to leave the screen door in the morning, Silver has been passing up morning pets for sitting near the screen, getting air. After a few days of this, she needs lots of petting all at once. The next day; back to the screen.

I have been working on these.
This just needs it final wash to fray the edges, then a trim.

This one also just needs the final wash.

The first layout. This is where I see how it works, what it needs, before I sew anything on.
